Slide the baking rack or tray into one of the guide slots and close the door. HINT: You can also prepare two dishes at the same time by putting the baking rack and tray into different slots. Ensure that the crumb tray is properly installed below the two lower heating elements. Depending on the recipe, it may be necessary to pre-heat the oven before the actual cooking process. If the cooking instructions do not specifically require pre-heating, omit steps 4 - 6. While cooking: check frequently on the degree of browning through the oven window. If satisfied with the result, turn the 5-position switch back to its (OFF) position. Otherwise wait until the pre-programmed time has elapsed, and the acoustic signal is heard. Danger of burns: The oven, baking rack and tray are still very hot after use. Keep your head and body well away from the danger zone, as hot steam may escape.
