[. . . ] It therefore makes sense to author the DVD so that the viewer can take advantage of these functions. This section includes the following topics: · "Adding VTS Folders" on page 167 · "Adding Title Folders" on page 169 Adding VTS Folders When you create a scenario with the Project Wizard, you can specify the number of VTSs the project will contain. If you need more VTSs than originally thought, you can add them in the Scenario Editor. If you decide you have more VTSs than you need, you can easily delete them. To add a VTS folder to the scenario: 1 Right-click the red Scenario folder in the Scenario Editor directory area, or on any empty space in the Scenario Editor authoring area. 2 Choose Add VTS from the pop-up menu that appears. 168 Chapter 11, Authoring in the Scenario Editor 3 When prompted, enter a name for the new VTS and click OK. A new VTS folder, along with one default title folder, is added to the scenario and appears in authoring area. To delete a VTS folder: 1 In the Scenario Editor authoring area, do one of the following: · Right-click the VTS you want to delete and choose Clear from the pop-up menu. · Select the VTS you want to delete and choose Edit > Clear. · Select the VTS you want to delete and press Control+K or Delete. 2 When prompted to confirm that you want to remove the object, click Yes. The VTS folder and its contents, including any navigation links, are deleted. VTS and Title Folders 169 Adding Title Folders When a VTS folder is added to a scenario, it contains one default title folder. However, a VTS can contain many title folders, each containing title tracks (the total number of VTSs and titles in a scenario cannot exceed 99). Content is added to title folders by dragging tracks to them (which creates a PGC for the track). A title can be a distinct piece of content, but will share the same root menu, and audio and subpicture stream attributes as other titles in the VTS. To add a title folder to a VTS folder: 1 In the Scenario Editor authoring area, Right-click the VTS folder to which you will add the title folder. 3 When prompted, enter a name for the new title and click OK. A new title folder is added to the VTS and appears in the authoring area. 170 Chapter 11, Authoring in the Scenario Editor To delete a title folder: 1 In the Scenario Editor, do one of the following: · Right-click the title folder you want to delete and choose Clear from the pop-up menu. · Select the title folder you want to delete and choose Edit > Clear. · Select the title folder you want to delete and press Control+K or Delete. 2 When prompted to confirm that you want to remove the object, click Yes. The title folder and its contents, including any links, are deleted. Ti tle P G C s Title PGCs are created by dragging video and still tracks to title folders. A title folder can contain multiple title PGCs, or a single PGC can contain multiple programs, each representing different chapters in the title. A PGC is added to the title folder and appears in the Scenario Editor. The PGC contains a program and cell for each scene in the track. The first PGC added to a title folder is defined as the Title Entry and contains an Entry flag on its icon.
