Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Set-Up and Operating Instructions for DM10A Motion Sensor (For use with RoboDogTM Barking Dog Alarm) Simple Setup First refer to the instructions that came with your RoboDog Barking Dog Alarm to make sure it is set up and working properly from the key chain remote that came with it. To set up the Motion Sensor Remove the screws from the front cover on the Motion Sensor and remove the cover. [. . . ] Press the button on the back of RoboDog to disarm it, the red light goes off. To change the code for the Motion Sensor Move the slide switch on the back of RoboDog to INSTALL (to the right). Remove the batteries from the Motion Sensor and use a dime or a small screwdriver to set the Housecode dial to match the letter you set on RoboDog. The red light on the back of RoboDog will flash to acknowledge that the Motion Sensor's new code has been accepted. Replace the battery cover on the Motion Sensor, clip it back onto the base, and attach the front cover. You can have as many Motion Sensors as you want and set them all to the same Housecode and Unit Code, then if any one of them see motion it will trip RoboDog. Move the slide switch on the back of RoboDog back to RUN (to the left). The Motion Sensor detects changes in light levels and transmits a signal to RoboDog to let it know whether it is light or dark outside. When the Motion Sensor tells RoboDog that it is dusk, it turns on lights connected to X10 Modules (which are set to A2). Note if you changed the code that RoboDog responds to, say to 5 (see RoboDog instructions) then RoboDog will turn on lights connected to X10 Modules set to 6 when dusk is detected, i. e. the dusk light is always one number higher than the light that turns on when motion is detected. To change how late or how early dusk lights come on Set the Dusk Sensitivity switch inside the battery compartment on the Motion Sensor the left to make the lights come on sooner or to the right to make them come on later.
